Mr. MAINUDDIN SHIRBADAGI

Mr. Moinuddin M. Shirbadgi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management (AITM), Bhatkal, where he has been serving since 2012. With over a decade of teaching and industry experience, he is known for his commitment to quality education, research-driven teaching methods, and technical excellence.

Mr. Shirbadgi holds an M.Tech in Power Systems and Power Electronics from UBDTC, Davangere (Autonomous Institution under VTU) with distinction and a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Davangere. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Renewable Energy at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, focusing on the topic “Virtual Power Plant Integrated Microgrid of Solar PV–Wind Energy for Coastal Institutions and Rural Areas.” His research aims to design and simulate efficient hybrid renewable energy systems for sustainable electrification in rural and coastal regions, particularly in Karnataka.

Before joining AITM, he worked as a Lecturer at Shri Tharlabalu Jagadguru Institute of Technology, Ranebennur, and as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at Power Tek Construction Company, Bangalore. These diverse experiences have enabled him to bridge the gap between academic concepts and real-world industrial practices.

At AITM, Mr. Shirbadgi has taken on multiple roles including Electrical Maintenance In-Charge, Exam Coordinator, and Faculty Mentor. He has organized and participated in numerous academic and extracurricular programs, encouraging students to engage in seminars, technical workshops, and project-based learning. His teaching portfolio includes courses such as Electric Motors, Electrical Power Generation, Electrical Design Estimation and Costing, Transformers and Induction Machines, Control Systems, and Transmission & Distribution.

An active learner and researcher, he has participated in several Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and workshops at reputed institutions such as IIT Kharagpur and NIT Calicut, including programs on Smart Grids, Signals and Systems, and Control Systems under the MHRD initiatives. His technical expertise extends to software tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, LabVIEW, and EDCAD, with research interests in Power Systems, Power Electronics, Control Systems, and Renewable Energy Integration.

Mr. Shirbadgi has successfully guided several batches of undergraduate students in their final-year projects, fostering innovation and applied learning. His dedication has been recognized with an Award of Appreciation from Synergy (2015–16) and qualification in the GATE 2013 examination.

Beyond academics, he is known for his calm demeanor, leadership qualities, and ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues alike. His hobbies include reading, cooking, and playing cricket. He is fluent in English, Kannada, Urdu, and Hindi.
